Friday 6 September, 6-8pm
Windmill Community Gardens
Join us for a relaxed event to get more familiar with the wonderful Elder tree. We will meet at Windmill Community Gardens to share stories about Elder - including its value to wildlife, folklore, and human uses such as food and medicine. We’ll taste elderberry produce together, and have a go at some hands-on activities.
This event is part of Wild.NG’s "Meet the Neighbours" series. Each one focuses on really getting to know one of our more-than-human neighbours in the city, taking a deep dive into its history, ecology, folklore and uses.
Kindly hosted at Windmill Community Garden in Bobbers Mill.
All welcome; suitable for adults and accompanied children.
This event is free and led by volunteers. Donations (to Wild.NG) are very welcome.
