JULY: Wildflower Graffiti Tour

Free drop-in event!
Meeting point:
Milner Road / Watcombe Circus junction, Carrington

Join us with your chalk to discover and celebrate the wildflowers on our pavements. Led by botanical enthusiasts Tim and Karen, this event is FREE and suitable for all ages and interests.

Our popular, free and fun pavement botany events have inspired our campaign to save our street flowers from being sprayed routinely each year with (poisonous) Glyphosate. Now the whole of Sherwood Ward is in its second year of taking part in a pilot #poisonfreepavements project with Nottingham City Council.

So we are delighted to be hosting this really cool event in July.  Join us for this positive activity led by our wild.NG volunteers Tim and Karen, to celebrate our pavement wildflowers and discover the diversity of our urban nature.  We chalk the names of the plants that we find on the pavement to celebrate and highlight them.  Great for all ages, enthusiasts and families.

The event is free and led by volunteers. If you wish to make a contribution, we welcome you to visit our website. Suggested donation £3.

Please meet us promptly where Milner Road meets Watcombe Circus in Carrington at 5pm before we head out into our community streets.  If you have chalk handy, bring it along!
