Join our wild.NG street map
Our project aims to connect wildlife street by street and in doing so also connect our communities.
Through a shared interest and passion for nature, we welcome you to register your street as a ‘wild-NG street’ and make a pledge to help wildlife on your doorstep and in return we will offer advice and host events (see link below)
Here are some simple ways you can help nature on your street (each with a helpful link) :
Install bird and bat boxes on your street and or in garden garden trees
Agree to use peat free composts and be chemical free
Sow wildflowers in green areas along your street
Request for a tree-pit to be replanted with a new native tree and be its guardian
Monitor wildlife on your street as part of City Nature Challenge in June
Help each other create ponds
Create a hedgehog highways between garden spaces and register your hedgehog sighting with us
Take part in the RSPB garden birdwatch
Kick back and enjoy your local wildlife as a community and praise your efforts in helping nature thrive
Meet other streets and connect with your neighbours, perhaps host an event inspired by the natural world
Register your street here. It’s simple!
